This role is central to our growth: you’ll be the steady, organized backbone for HR operations and day-to-day office life.

What You’ll Do

  • HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
    • Own onboarding/offboarding, new-hire setup, employee files, and HR documentation.
    • Maintain accurate records in HRIS systems and ensure data is audit-ready.
    • Be the first point of contact for employee questions, policies, and workplace support.
  • Recruiting & Hiring Support
    • Post roles, coordinate candidate flow, schedule interviews, and support hiring managers.
    • Keep candidates informed and ensure a smooth, respectful hiring experience.
    • Help refine job descriptions and hiring processes as we scale.
  • Benefits, Payroll, & Compliance
    • Administer benefits enrollment and serve as liaison with providers.
    • Support payroll processing and ensure timekeeping accuracy.
    • Maintain handbook/policies; track compliance with federal/state/local employment laws.
  • Office & Facilities Management
    • Run office operations: supplies, vendors, mail/shipping, and facilities coordination.
    • Ensure workspaces are safe, stocked, welcoming, and efficient.
    • Coordinate equipment setup and access for new hires.
    • Plan occasional team meetings/events and support a positive in-office culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years in HR, People Ops, office management, or a blended operations role.
  • Working knowledge of HR fundamentals: employee relations, benefits, recruiting, compliance.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and good at keeping multiple workstreams moving.
  • Clear, kind communicator with strong discretion around sensitive topics.
  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-growing environment.

Nice to Have

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar).
  • Experience in startups or growth-stage companies.
  • Familiarity with HRIS/payroll tools (Gusto, Rippling, BambooHR, Paychex, etc.).
  • Event planning or employee engagement program experience.
